The University of St. Thomas School of Education has been offering continuing education graduate courses in the state of Wisconsin since 1994. The University of St. Thomas School of Education is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The University of St. Thomas School of Education is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and by the U.S. Department of Education. Continuing education graduate credit is intended to fulfill requirements for licensure renewal and for lane change when the student has obtained prior approval from his/her district personnel office. Under the policies of the School of Education, continuing education graduate credits may apply as transfer credits to the University of St. Thomas graduate programs with the prior written approval of the student's academic advisor, program director and dean. Students interested in petitioning Continuing Education credits into a graduate degree at another institution are advised to obtain prior approval from that institution.
